30 weeks, 6 days

Well, tomorrow I will be 31 weeks!  I am so excited.  Gavin has been moving around like crazy the past two days.  Yesterday it seemed as though he didn't stop moving from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  He is quite an active little guy!

The day that we went and saw Wicked, we also took some pictures of my baby bump.  So I posted one here.  As you can see, I am getting quite large!

I also am posting some pictures of Gavin's nursery-in-progress.  We worked on cleaning the furniture and arranging it earlier this evening.  We are both getting so excited.  Seeing the nursery begin to look more like a nursery is making everything seem more real.  We cannot wait for Gavin to be here!

I also went to visit my friend, Virginia, on Monday who recently had an adorable baby boy in December.  He had just had his 1-month birthday.  Getting to hold him and spend time with him made me realize just how wonderful being a mom is going to be!

29 weeks, 2 days

So I got sick after my last post and am still trying to fight it off.  This darn stuffy nose just won't leave.  Well, since my last entry, Matt and I have begun to work on the nursery.  Since I was so sick when we first decided to start painting, my mom came over and did most of the painting with Matt while I just sat and kept them company.  But since I've been gradually feeling better, I have been able to help with more of the work lately.  The painting is almost done now and this week we are going to put his crib and dresser together.  I can't wait!  The bedding arrived shortly after Christmas and it is so cute!  I am excited to see it all put together.

Yesterday was a very wonderful day.  Matt and I took our moms to our 3D/4D ultrasound appointment in the morning.  It was such an amazing experience to see Gavin moving around in my tummy!  He is absolutely adorable and I am so anxious for him to arrive!  We all had a great time during the appointment.  Gavin was a bit shy, he kept hiding his face with his arm, but we still got some cute shots, as you can see above.

After the appointment, Matt and I went home and cleaned the house and then went to the Pantages Theater in Hollywood to see Wicked!  Matt had bought the tickets for me for Christmas and I was so thrilled to finally see it.  We had a great time and it was nice to have a little date night as we haven't had one in awhile.  Unfortunately, I wore some really cute stiletto heals that are probably as comfortable as a root canal.  On the trip back to the car, I had to take them off and walk in my stockings a short distance down Hollywood Boulevard.  Yuck!  I'm such a germ freak, it was killing me, but not as much as the blister I had worn on my poor foot.  Next time, I'm definitely going for comfort over cuteness.  Geesh.
